how to remove tape residue from plastic
Removing Tape Residue From Plastic?
I purchased a $50 electronic toy at goodwill and of course they wrap it all around in packing tape, when removing the tape it leaves a sticky residue. I don't want to damage the plastic, any tips on removing it?

Zippo lighter fluid is all I use for sticker residue. It doesn't leave a smell, and evaporates fast.

Nothing beats zippo fluid.

Or ronsonol lighter fluid. Or naphtha from the hardware store - all basically same thing afaik
Best stuff ever. No residue like goo gone and I think it works better. Way safer to most surfaces than alcohol or especially acetone. Safe to use on paper/cardboard.

+1 on Goo Gone and my thumbnail :) if you try any petroleum based stuff, test it in a hidden spot first.
I hate stickers and tape. I've seen really nice stuff covered in them and it makes me want to scream.

I like Goo Gone for stuff like that, that's what it's designed for

Goo gone residue comes off with windex. I do this at work all the time.

olive oil, most people already have it in their cabinet and you only need a few drop.
